Caryn spent 11 years in marketing and sales at IBM. She then became a volunteer and spent time fundraising for Bornblum Solomon Schechter School, where she became a Board member. She was on the board of Germantown Performing Arts Centre and was a National Council Board member of the Aspen Music School and Festival. Mrs Scheidt and her husband, Rudi Scheidt Jr. were co-chairs of the Dixon 2009 Annual Fund.
